Title

I received my B.A. in Communications Studies, U.C.Santa Barbara, 1982. I went on to work for one of the most creative, innovative customer service oriented retail operations based out of Southern California, Licorice Pizza Records and Tapes. My positions included: Manager/marketer/ product buyer for large retail stores, 1982-86. At the sale of the Licorice Pizza Record company I accepted a position as a Marketing research/ program development/implementation Associate. This was a corporate level position, in a nationwide non-profit healthcare corporation, Golden Healthcare Systems1986-89. My position involved ascertaining customer relations/services in and evaluation of managers’ skills at individual sites.  My favorite job was being the Marketing Director, Antelope Valley Regional Mall, of which I was second in command of the mall management team, from1990-1993. The variety and scope of my responsibilities encompassed all the managerial skills and marketing knowledge I had acquired in my previous positions. I loved determining a direction and image for the center based on the demographic data, creating a budget and schedule of events to carry out that vision. The interactions with a variety of entertainers, fashion show coordinators, advertising executives and 110 retail store mangers provided wonderful, creative and challenging endeavors. My responsibilities also encompassed the overall appearance and décor programs of the Mall. I really enjoyed working with designers and determining the center’s seasonal décor which included working with a panorama of colors, themes and materials.  Marketing Director also involved assuring the tenants met lease obligations in advertising, management and profitability of their store.  I am now a full time homemaker, 1993-2010, and have dedicated all my creative energy into raising my children to be the best they can be, exercise integrity and be positive influences on the people they encounter in their lives.
